Helena HERRADA-MANCHÓN profile

I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Oviedo, a Pharmacy degree from the University of Barcelona (UB) since 2013, and a Master's degree in Chemistry and Sustainable Development since 2018. After several years dedicated to community and clinical pharmacy as a Substitute Pharmacist in a pharmacy office, I joined the staff of the IDONIAL Technology Center during my Master's studies. Currently, I am the Technical Manager responsible for the development of inks and bioinks for 3D printing in highly relevant sectors such as tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and the pharmaceutical industry. Leading projects, generating publications and patents, developing presentations, and conducting training courses are some of the activities I have undertaken in recent years in this field.

As a pharmacist, I work in the development and formulation of inks for 3D printing based on polymeric materials, both of natural and synthetic origin, for different fields of interest such as regenerative medicine, tissue engineering or the pharmaceutical sector. As a lover of additive manufacturing technologies, I work in parallel with FDM and direct extrusion technologies, I manage and control slicing programs and printing parameters in order to obtain the best printing results.
