Dr.
Jerome SOHIER
Laboratory of tissular biology and therapeutic engineering - CNRSBiography
For the past 20 years, my research has focused on development of synthetic biomaterials for tissue regeneration and to better understand cells/materials interactions. These interests have led him to design various approaches to produce cell-supportive matrices, among which growth factor-releasing scaffolds to enhance cartilage restoration, jet-spraying technology to produce highly porous fibrillar matrices of interest for bone or heart valves regeneration, or injectable and porous hydrogels of versatile properties for musculoskeletal repair. His projects are fuelled by an interdisciplinary and translational vision, complemented by national and international collaborations.
Expertise
As an Interdisciplinary researcher in the field of biomaterials, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine,I have expertise in synthetic polymers, hydrogels, formulation, as well as cell biology and in vivo experiments.
