The ESB and SFB seek to strengthen international collaboration in biomaterials by co-organizing a summer school with a focus on bioprinting and tissue regeneration. The goal is to give students from countries around the world the opportunity to learn from leading biomaterials experts from around the world. Estimated attendance is 60 students (can be students enrolled in higher degree programs or faculty) to be taught by 10 faculty and will include hands on 3-D printing/bioprinting and imaging lessons in addition to traditional biomaterial lectures and in-class activities. We hope this event will stimulate the growth of future leaders in the field of biomaterials, as well as stimulating research projects between participating faculty that will span multiple countries and lead to advances in biomaterials science and technology.
